Lima, Peru - 10 May 2018 Cereus repandus the Peruvian apple cactus, is a large, erect, thorny cactus found in South America and parts of the Caribbean. It flowers only at night. And why apple? Because it is evidently rather nice to eat - after, presumably, removing the spines! Here we see it in a Lima park.
