According to Prashad (1919), the trunk, which is 77 mm in length, is wider inthe middle region but gradually tapers at both ends. The proboscis is short andstumpy and slightly truncated at the anterior end. It is 17 mm long and hence lessthan a quarter the trunk length. Prashad stated that both the proboscis and trunkare covered with papillae. On the proboscis, the papillae are minute and justvisible, while on the trunk they are small anteriorly but gradually increase in sizeat the posterior end. A few large papillae are also
