Marine Corps Pfc. Arturo Ochoa and Lance Cpl. Carson Cleasby, heavy equipment operators with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, wait for students and staff of Kitatama Elementary School to approach a crosswalk at Kitatama Elementary School, Chatan, Okinawa, Japan, Jan. 7, 2021. Every Tuesday and Thursday, military community volunteers serve as crossing guards to assist elementary students and staff crossing a busy neighborhood intersection. The volunteers received letters of appreciation for their work from the Kitatama Community Center.
