Islands of Orkney, Scotland. Picturesque view of the Standing Stones of Stenness hearth, with the dolmen and one of the four remaining stones in the background. The Loch of Harray is also in the distant background. Dating from approximately 3100BC, the remains of the circle are believed to be one of the oldest stone circles in the UK. Of a circle containing, possibly, twelve stones there are now only four stones remaining.
