This is entirely distinct from the preceding variety and after the style of N. Dentata; foliage large and handsome, of a metallic lustre; flowers large and of a pleasing delicate pink. The largest and best while, night-blooming variety; flowers of the largest size; long, pointed buds, on strong stalks, open- ing horizontally; leaves deep green, with serrated edges. This is one of the very choicest Water Lilies in cultivation, and indispensable in a moderate collection. The flowers are a brilliant rosy red, a most pleasing color by artificial light, pro- duced on stout stalks standing above the water, and are from ten inches to twelve inches across. The leaves are deep green with reddish shade. Garden hybrid of English origin. $ each. NYMPH/EA LOTUS. (Thermalis.) This plant grows in vast quantities in the plains of lower Egypt during the time the land is under water. The flowers are white, sepals red at the margins; cup-shaped, with broad petals; leaves serrated as in N. Dentata. $ each. NYMPH/EA O'MARANA. (New.) This hybrid Nymphxa is of the Dentata type, a vigorous grower and free flowering, one of the best for winter flowering; the leaves are bronzv green, deeply dentated ; the flowers are of the largest size, opening horizontally; color rosy-red; stamens orange-red; a most attractive flower.
