Minaret of the Main and oldest Mosque of Marrakesh (nicknamed "The Koutoubia)


Built by Yakoub El Mansour (1184-1199, Almohade family), its minaret is the oldest and the well preserved of the three mosques buit during this dynasty. The two others are the Hassan tower (Rabat-Morocco) and the Giralda minaret (Sevilla-Spain).
