Much of the supply was of inferior qual- ity. American Beauty roses are in short supply and the quality is not of the best. Other roses are plentiful and those of good quality clear easily. Russells are beginning to be in short supply. There is an abundance of carnations, many of which are small and weak- stemmed. Outdoor valley is done, the season's cut being small, due to exces- sive rains. Local cut peonies are arriv- ing, with white predominating. Snap- dragons, calendulas and mignonette are selling slowly. Lilacs are gone. Sweet peas are of poor quality. Ferns again are scarce. Various Notes. June weddings still are the center of activity. W. J. Palmer & Son had four large wedding decorations in one day last week. Miss Mildred Lucile Palmer and Raymond Percival Fowler were married June 16 at the bride's home on North Lincoln boulevard. The bride carried a bouquet of lily of the valley and Sweetheart roses showered with valley. Mr. and Mrs. Fowler have left for an automobile trip to the Berkshire moun- tains. Mr. Fowler is a member of the American Ambulance corps and will soon depart for the front in France. Although it was rumored in florists' circles some time ago that Miss Helen Cassidy, of the William F. Kasting Co., and Emil Iloflfman had been quietly married, the wedding was not announced u
