Located at Silverhill near Teversal, ‘Testing for Gas’ is a bronze statue of a kneeling miner holding a Davy lamp. The sculpture was created by artist Antony Dufort as "A tribute to the Miners of the Nottinghamshire coalfields", commemorating coal mining at the 85 Nottinghamshire collieries.
