Plate with Lotus, Ming dynasty (1368–1644), 15th century, China, Porcelain with incised decoration under celadon glaze (Zhejiang Province, Longquan ware), Diam. 16 3/8 in. ( cm), Ceramics, At its height, the complex at Longquan operated more than 200 kilns, making it one of the largest in China. Unlike most of the other celadon-producing centers, Longquan remained active well into the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, producing significant quantities of ceramics often for export to Southeast and West Asia
