These individuals are in various stages of completion, ranging from a few fragments to nearly complete skeletons. Moreover, owing in large part to the detailed record kept by Moore and later published by him in his 1897 monograph, we were able to match his descriptions with our findings and identify nearly all of the skeletons in relation to his individual determinations. Second, all ages and both sexes are rep- resented in the series. Although the popula- tion is not demographically representative of any real population, it does provide a mea- sure of comparability with other skeletal se- ries in a number of areas (, stable isotope.
