A genus very similar to Cupressus. It comprises many sorts of wonderful beauty. They are natives of Japan and very few will endure the rigor of our winters without protection. \\Tienever they can be preserved they will amply repay the efforts made. The small varie- ties are exceedingly desirable for in-door culture in pots. Gracilis Aurea—A small tree of graceful form, viith spread- ing branches. Young shoots are bright golden color.
