An installed Laptop Lifter (aka the Tide Riser). Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division's Codes E15 Hydrospace Laboratory and E42 Additive Manufacturing Lab (AML) collaborated to produce this solution to help improve ventilation to the division's new computers to keep them from overheating due to prolonged use. The innovation is installed at the rear of the computer to improve air flow. The final product is estimated to cost $2 per unit which offers a significant savings versus $6 - $8 per unit if it were produced externally.
