One grower by that method gathered nearly 400 quarts from 500 plants set out in thespring; a splendid demonstration of their productive power. The quality is superb, the size good, but not up tothe large June berries, because of the season at which they are borne. The plants must not be allowed to sufferfor water in the fruiting season and a mulch will be found to be of great advantage. High cultivation is essentialfor the best results in all crops and in growing these strawberries a iittle extra attention will pay well.
