WASHINGTON, — – Army Brigadier General Arthur W. Hinaman and Air Force Brigadier General Marc H. Sasseville visit the 121st Medical Company (Air Ambulance), a Virginia National Guard air crew, comprised of both pilots and maintainers. Based at DAA (Davison AAF, Fort Belvoir VA), DC-NG’s 121st Medical Company (Air Ambulance) was the first National Guard unit to receive the medevac-configured version of the UH72A. The 121st Medical Company (Air Ambulance) is tasked with providing National Guard medevac support to the National Capital Region to include Presidential Inauguration support. The Lakota helicopter is outfitted with a new Mission Equipment Package that has capabilities to uniquely support law enforcement, search and rescue and provide secure communications. The UH-72A Lakota is a light utility helicopter with a twin-engine and a single, four-bladed main rotor. Brig. Gen. Hinaman is Commander, Land Component Command, District of Columbia National Guard. He is responsible for the overall readiness, training, maintenance and operational employment of the units assigned and attached to the District of Columbia Army National Guard. Brig. Gen. Sasseville is the Commander, 113th Wing, District of Columbia Air National Guard, Andrews Air Force Base, Md. He is responsible for over 1200 personnel in support of both F-16 (Air Combat Command) fighter and C-38 and C-40 VIP airlift (Air Mobility Command) aircraft missions. The 57th Presidential Inauguration was held in Washington on Monday, January 21, 2013. The Inauguration included the Presidential Swearing-in Ceremony, Inaugural Address, Inaugural Parade and numerous inaugural balls and galas honoring the elected President of the United States. During the 10-day inaugural period approximately 6,000 National Guard personnel from over 30 states and territories worked for Joint Task Force-District of Columbia, providing traffic control, crowd management, transportation, communication, medical and logist
