For a long timewe have had a call for a Cucumber that wouldproduce short pickles which would pack in bot-tles better than other varieties. The small cu-cumbers of this splendid new variety are short,cylindrical and blunt ended, making, when packbottles, very handsome, showy pickles of the veryquality. It is an early green sort unsurpassed in shape andquality. The plant is of medium height but very stocky and heavy. The stalks are thick, almostround, resembling in shape those of Giant Pascal; the color has in it more of the rich yellow tint ofGolden Yellow Self Blanching which variety^it resembles very much in appearance when trimmed andbunched for the market. The foliage is of a distinctly light shade of green, with a tinge of yellow. Inseason it follows in close succession Golden Yellow Self Blanching. Its quality is certainly exception-ally fine, some connoisseurs considering it equal or even superior to either Golden Yellow Self Blanch-ing or Giant Pascal.
