Bay and Rivers. There are six considerable rivers,which, with their numerous branches, peninsulate thestate, viz. The distanceof Philadelphia from the sea, is about 120 miles by theship channel of the Delaware. So far it is navigable fora 74 gun ship. Shallops go 35 miles farther, to Trenton falls.
