Several of the local firms, which have made a specialty of this business, state that it has paid handsomely. Potted hydrangeas were offered by Bosaia Bros, during last week and there was such a good sale that more stock could have been sold easily. A falling wall of the Lincoln hotel, which was destroyed by fire last week, did several hundred dollars' worth of damage to the store of Felix Bosaia and prevented the shop from opening for one day after the fire. However, the stock carried through in good shape. McCoy's has taken possession of the new store on Second avenue and within another week expects all of the finishing work to be completed. One of the finest refrigerators in the whole northwest has been installed here and the other fittings are to be in keeping with it. Good show windows are pro- vided for and the manager, Fred H. Bowe, expects to see a steady increase in business. Harry Crouch, of the Woodlawn Flower Shop, reports an increase in general business, especially in social decorations and in corsage work for the various clubs. The sales of potted plants have held up well
