A close helmet, German, circa 1570 Skull forged in one piece with a tall corded comb. The comb is lightly damaged in places. Five hole ear openings on both sides. A riveted plume socket at the nape of the neck. Surrounding lining rivets with decorative brass rosettes. Two piece visor, opening upwards with separate eye slits and hinge rivets chiselled in the shape of flowers. Five ventilation openings on the right side. Bevor with iron hook. The bevor and nape each have two riveted gorget plates with turned under and corded edges surrounded by brass lining rivet,
