The dulzaineros play instruments to pay homage to the "mayo" during the Pingada de Mayo. The neighborhood of Capiscol, in Burgos, celebrates the Pingada de Mayo from the night of April 30 to May 1. Young people and not so young people from the neighborhood “peg” a bare pine tree, which remains standing all month.
