On the mar- gin of the sketch you have a calculation which shows the number of square feet of glass to be 9,000. It is impossible to see how a greenhouse 63x150 feet, with glass in one side wall and presumably in one or both of the end walls, could have less than 12,000 square feet of glass. A 40-horsepower boiler will be neces- sary for 9,000 square feet of glass and a 50-horsepower boiler for 12,000 square feet of glass. The grate sliould have an area of fourteen square feet for the small size of boiler and sixteen square feet for a 50-horsepower boiler. If the house has only 9,000 square feet of glass, it would be advisable to use three 2%-inch flow and fifteen IVj- inch return pipes. If there are 12,000 square feet of glass, twenty returns will be needed. The main flow pipe should be 4-ineh and the main return a 2-inch pipe.
