This courseis now being followed in connection with the San Francisco Statel^uilding, and is to be followed also in connection with the CapitolExtension buildings to be erected in Sacramento. The present organization of the Bureau of Architecture of theDepartment of Engineering and this provision for the holding of com-petitions provide the means of efficiently meeting all the exigencies ofthe states building requirements. Following is the partial list of construction hereinabove mentioned,with the total cost of each item and the percentage of expenditure forservices in the office and inspection in the field:.
