Phelps is a village in Ontario County, New York, USA. The population was 1,969 at the 2000 census. The village is named after an original proprietor, Oliver Phelps. The Village of Phelps is near the center of the Town of Phelps, and is north of Geneva, New York. A Sauerkraut Festival is held every August.
