In additionto the cylinders and the firebox supports, these frames are bracedby a heavy casting at the guide yoke and but slightly less heavybraces between the other pairs of drivers. An inspection of theillustrations of two of these braces will give a good idea of thecare this feature has been given. The cylinders are cast separate from the saddle, and the frontframe extension, which measures 5 in. x 13 in. at this point, iscompletely housed between the castings for a length of about 52in. Fifty-nine lYg. in. bolts are used to form the connection be-tween the cylinders and saddle, and ten of these pass through.
