Flags and flowers are placed in the Washington State Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall on Memorial Day in Olympia, Washington.
The Washington State Capitol Vietnam Veterans Memorial was designed by architect Kris Snider. It it a semi-circular wall in green granite dedicated to the 1,116 state residents who were killed or missing during the Vietnam War. The first dedication ceremony was on May 25, 1987.
