Community Action Against Homophobia (CAAH) held a protest outside the Australian Christian Lobby conference held at the Wesley Conference Centre, 220 Pitt Street. CAAH were particularly concerned about opposition to the controversial, so-called ‘safe schools’ program. They say it helps prevent bullying of children who may be LGBTQI. However, opponents have criticised the program, saying the content is not appropriate for children. Protesters marched around the block and then drew a rainbow crossing in chalk outside the building. Pictured: Simon Hunt (drag Queen Pauline Pantsdown) speaks at the protest.
