This Fort Riley Friday we continue our look at some of the first permanent buildings constructed on Marshall Army Airfield. In 1934, 12 new quarters were built at the airfield. Among them were five company officer quarters. These two-story structures, Quarters 780, 782, 784, 786 and 788 Ray Road, are faced with buff-colored brick to match Hangar 741 constructed in 1932. These houses are still in use as family quarters. Have you or someone you know lived in one of these homes? Do you live there now? Let us know.
