Transverse bands of ab- domen darker in colour and well defined. The specimens which Mr. Harrison1} obtained from the Blue- bellied lorikeet, Trichoglossus no- vœ-hollandiœ, closely resemble the present species as regards the size of body, the shape of head, the chaetotaxy of metathorax, and the colour of body markings. They were provisionally assigned by him to P. australis, but are, in my opinion probably identical with the present new Fig. 1.
