The "Château de Chenonceau" castle (central France). Former royal residence, also known as the « Château des Dames », it was built in 1513 by Katherine Briçonnet, successively embellished by Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de' Medici, then saved from destruction during the French Revolution by Mrs Dupin.
