Dish. Seated on the rim of this dish are Bacchus, the god of wine, accompanied by Ceres, the goddess of agriculture at the right, and Venus, the goddess of love, with her son Cupid at the left. Together they personify the maxim: ‘Without food and drink, love is cold’. An unidentified coat of arms is engraved on the bottom of the dish.
