United We Win

Howard Liberman was a photographer for the Office of War Information during World War II, and for the Farm Security Administration before that. During World War II, The United States still had many strides to make in terms of racial equality. Discrimination and segregation were an unfortunate normality of everyday life during the 1940’s. This poster portrays two men, black and white, of the American workforce together, putting aside any racial differences to perform work critical to winning the war.
