Es Salam nuclear facility, Algeria. Satellite image of the Es Salam ('Peace') nuclear facility in Ain Oussera, Algeria. The 15 megawatt reactor is located in an isolated area in the Atlas Mountains, 125 kilometres south of the capital city, Algiers. Image taken on 7 May 2000 by Space Imaging's Ikonos satellite.
