SAN DIEGO (Jan. 18, 2018) Richard Miltenberger Jr., a prosthetist at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) Comprehensive Combat and Complex Casualty Care (C5) department, files down a leg mold to make an Intrepid Dynamic Exoskeletal Orthosis (IDEO) brace. Sixty-five percent of service members under C5’s care who receive an IDEO brace return to active duty.
