As Congress did not see fit to authorize theformation of this corps, the project never materialized. During these strenuous years my oldest brother married,and in due time a cliild was born. The event occurred inthe forenoon, while father was in the bank, but he was atonce notified. The coming of his first grandchild was a joyto him and a matter of pride
