A large French seal press, circa 1700 Heavy frame of forged iron bars bolted together with nuts. Central vertical threaded rod, the handle bar with spherical brass finials. The lower end of the ram fitted with a receiver for signets with retaining screw. At the bottom ends of the frame two stud bolts with large thumb nuts for table top mounting. Mounted on a modern acrylic glass stand.
