Vintage engraved border with Green Man (fertility symbol) and cherubs (romance symbols), art nouveau
This ornate and exuberent engraved border features a laughing man's face at upper middle - a Green Man, a symbol offertility, reproduction, baby-making! There are cherubs, naked boys with wings, in the vines on either side. And i do believe the man is winking. A great borer for a Valentine's Day card, or maybe a slightly naughty invitation to a christening?
