Gurmukh Kaur Khasala co-founder and director of legendary LA Yoga studio Golden Bridge leads a morning class in Kundalini Yoga on the banks of the Ganges , Rishikesh Her past clients have included Madonna and Gyneth Paltrow here she is participating in the 8th Annual International Yoga Festival 01 March - 07 March 2009 organised by Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board & Parmath Niketan Ashram. Over 300 delegates from over 30 countries gathered on the banks of the Ganges the most sacred of all Indian rivers as Swami G the head of the ashram and living saint put it 'to manifest peace inside their hearts so they can spread it across the rest of the world' . Rishikesh has always been acknowledged as a place of special significance by hindus due to its location at the foot of the Himalayas and source of the holiest of holy rivers. It was however fixed in many Westerners eyes as a place of pilgrimage and signficance after the Beatles visit in the 60's.
