In 1904 the Earse Couple Drucker-Fraser donates a collection of paintings and watercolors to the Rijksmuseum on the condition that suitable rooms are built for this. In 1906 the first part of the drucker extension, designed by Jos Cuypers, is contracted in 1913 the second part. Because the construction is delayed by the First World War, the extension will only be put into use in 1919. The top rooms have a wooden parquet floor in herringbone motif, wooden paneling and door frame with the panels decorated above the doors. The corners of the room are chamfered. Above the fries a chofloss, both with decorations, and a curved roof light, painted on the edges. Upholstered oval banks are in the halls: 'Borne de Salon'.
