British hotels, pubs, inns and taverns. A circa 1930's photograph of the unusual church-like Pseudo-Gothic 'Hostelrie Inn' at Goodrich, a small Herefordshire village close to the Forest of Dean, the Wye Valley, Golden Valley, Ledbury, Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye. It was formerly the Anchor then the Crown and Anchor. It was in situ (probably as a timbered structure) in 1637 when it was known as 'Griggs House' and was later re-faced in stone in the 1800s by Sir Samuel Meyrick
