Northampton, Northamptonshire UK In Northamptonshire work has now begun to replace or upgrade its 65,000 street lights. Over the next five years Northamptonshire County Council will replace or upgrade every one of its street lights. They are being replaced or upgraded with the very latest white light technology to help in reducing both carbon emissions and running costs. The work will be carried out by Balfour Beatty and it is scheduled to be completed by 2016.
