Hyacinth Culture—This is one of the simplest, eitherfor pots or open ground. See page 2 for general direc-tions. The only special precautions necessary are (1) togive Hyacinths in pots a long enough sojourn in the darkto make good roots, and (2) on bringing them to tholight to avoid placing double or heavy spiked sorts inthe direct sunlight at first, as this causes the buds tounfold so rapidly that the topmost ones of the spikeget wedged in the neck of the WONDERFUL NEW HYACINTHS These Hyacinths are probably the very best of theircolor y^et introduced. For size of spike and superbcolor they are wonderful. City of Haarlem—The most beautiful yellow Hyacinthknown. Color clear and bright; by all odds the bestyellow variety. Truss, extra large and dense, withround dome-like top. Corregio—An exhibition variety, having • large perfectshaj td -Hikes, and most exquisite nebs of a puresnow white < olor. Distinction—Color quite unique, being sort of mauvegarnet, with more or less red shading. King of Blacks--.\ gigantic opike of the richest purple-black color yet seen in any Hyacinth. A great .ac -quUStion. Mountain of Snow—This is perhaps the largest purewhite single Hyacinth in cultivation. It ;is superb inevery respect.
