Hundreds march through the streets of the South Bronx in New York for the Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense march and rally on Saturday, May 11, 2013. The event pays tribute to mothers of gun violence victims during the Mother's Day weekend and calls on elected officials to pass gun reform legislation. Many of the participants carried bouquets of eight handmade paper flowers to represent the eight children killed by gun violence every day in the United States. (© Frances M. Roberts)
