The Erawan Shrine, formally the Thao Maha Phrom Shrine, houses a statue of Phra Phrom, the Thai representation of Brahma, the Hindu god of creation at the Ratchaprosong intersection in Bangkok. In Thai culture, he is regarded as the deity of good fortune and protection, and the shrine is popular with locals as well as overseas visitors from Southeast Asia and China.
