The course was designed to give Humanitarian Mine Action training to course attendees to prepare them for future deployments with the African Union Mission in Somalia. Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa is a multinational effort to conduct theater security cooperation, combat violent extremism and enable freedom of movement within East Africa in order to defend interests and support aligned regional efforts.
