Yaozhou hexagonal celadon dish with lotus, late Northern Song-Jin dynasty, China, 1050-1150. A small and rare hexagonal Yaozhou celadon dish of good colour. The edges and interior are nicely foliated. The dish is decorated on the interior with a lotus leaf and flower incised. The base has a circular unglazed recess but without footrim revealing the close grained body.
