Covered with a very short close and thick pile ("sponge-like," Stimpson). Carapace globose, smooth. Frontal lobes short, rounded; median rostral point subequal but strongly denexed. A blunt supra- orbital tooth. Antero-lateral margin with 4 rounded undulations, the hindermost one forming a blunt knob behind branchial groove. Regions ill-defined, but grooves defining cardiac region distinct. Terminal abdominal segment $ broader than long, triangular, ending in a sharp point. Chelipeds and legs knobbed.
