In its 28th year, the CARAT series is comprised of multinational exercises, designed to enhance and partner navies’ abilities to operate together in response to traditional and non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region. Under Commander, Pacific Fleet, 7th Fleet is the Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with 35 maritime nations in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
