The nut is then backed off two or three turns andthe wire inserted, after which the nut is tightly screwed backin place. After proceeding in the same manner with the otherend of the cable, the insulating cover is brought down over theconnector and tightly screwed together, so that there is nodanger of its becoming loose. The insulating cover is madeof a composition which is a perfect insulator, not readilybroken, and is impervious to dampness or oil. The joint hasjust been put on the market and is receiving much favorablecommendation. ■ ♦♦+.
