White, Stewardess, State Hospital, Raleigh, N. C. Madam :—I Hereby submit a report of the work done in the Engineer-ing Department for two years, ending June 30th, 1924. We have, besides keeping up the regular repair, made the followingimprovements: Put a small ram in Rocky Branch to supply water to the calves inpasture. We have put in a new and large range at Oaks Colony. Have laid a new water line from ice plant to reservoir, using 600 feetof 2 1-2 inch galvanized pipe. Put new lubricators on boiler feed pumps and on No. 2 and 3 powerengines, and new tail pipes on No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 boilers. Run water line to the six houses on railroad, using 300 feet of 1 1-4inch galvanized pipe and have put water closets and lavatories in eachhouse.
