Death of Warwick the Kingmaker, Battle of Barnet, 1471 (1864). Richard Neville or Nevill, Earl of Warwick (1428-1471), English soldier and statesman, was killed by Yorkist troops at Barnet during the Wars of the Roses (1453-1487), the struggle between the houses of York and Lancaster for the throne of England.
