Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep is a temple of Theravada Buddhism in the Province of Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. The temple is often referred to as "Doi Suthep" although this is actually the name of the mountain on which it is located. It is located 15 km from the city of Chiang Mai and is a sacred place for many Thais. From the temple it is possible to admire a spectacular view of Chiang Mai, it is therefore a popular tourist destination.
